Kalaw

A breathtaking scenery after drizzle, earned with sweat ( I am the one at the left wearing a blue T-shirt saying Keep Calm)

Look at the green scenery behind, and tell me you are not stupendous. Think of the cool breeze passing through your nostrils and the drizzle touching your sweaty torso. Also do not forget the smile on my friends’ faces and the joy they felt after hiking through rough and slippery terrains. The locals called the place as “ View Point”, and the name speaks for itself.

A solitary Café

Served by a gorgeous waiter and a skillful coffee blender, that cafe was one of the place that had occupied in my heart since I visited it. It was hard to locate the cafe but the coffee we tasted and the scenery we saw around were worth our toil. Taking a sip of the fine coffee and inhaling the mix of the sweet coffee smell and soft breeze, I felt like I was being elevated to the sky of rainbows. I wished I had a book to indulge myself.

A bath for angelic beings

There is no where better to take a bath in a body of water from the gentle current of a waterfall, it can refreshen your mind, clean your body and could even remove from your sins if you submerge long enough. The sound of water falling over the rocks and the mental solitude under the thick forest were enough for me to take off my shirt and dived into it. I could still hear the sound of the waterfall even when I am thinking about that place.

A Boulevard for lovers

Being a fan of Boulevard, the concrete avenue lined with a row of Eucalyptus on both side caught my eyes while we were traversing from Kalaw to a local village, so I asked our light- truck driver to stop and my friends to stay a while here as it was worth enjoying the Boulevard. They all agreed and we took a group picture on that avenue. I wandered along the avenue for some time and took that gorgeous picture.

A Cave lined with rows and rows of Buddha Statues

The glittering gold color of the Buddha Statues lighted the cave with wisdom and vision. It was a place not only for our buddhists pilgrimage but also for the mesmerizing spectacle. You can see the chalky water dripping from the stalactite hanging from the roof of the cave, but the deeper you go into the cave, the worse it gets smell of faeces of the bats. Do not let the foul smell deters you to enjoy.
